Learning outcomes
PLO 2. To demonstrate an adequate level of national and foreign languages ( English) mastery to perform written and spoken communication, namely in situations of professional and scientific communication; to present the results of their studies in the national and foreign languages (English).
PLO 3. To implement modern methods and techniques, namely informational, in order to perform a successful and effective professional activity and guarantee the quality of research in an applied linguistics field.
PLO 16. To use specialized conceptual knowledge in applied linguistics to solve complex tasks and issues, which requires updates and integration of knowledge, often under conditions of incomplete/lacking information and contradictory requirements.
PLO 19. To apply professional techniques and technologies of web page creation and web design, search engine optimization, copywriting, rewriting, and text compression.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before taking this course, students have:
To know the basics of computer science and programming.
To be able to process information about development requirements, formulate tasks, and control the quality of a software product.
To have basic skills in data management; critical thinking; use of information sources; interaction and collaboration in learning, as well as software testing skills
Course content
The discipline Web Design Technologies is a part of the educational and scientific program of training specialists by the educational level Master in the field of knowledge 03 Humanities in the specialty 035 Philology (035.10 Applied Linguistics), the educational and scientific program is Applied Linguistics: Editorial, Translation, and Expert Activity. The discipline is a complex discipline of Internet Communication.
The purpose of the discipline is to acquire basic knowledge of web design basics,
design engineering technologies as well as the basics of web programming, preparation of professionals capable of setting and solving tasks related to the analysis and formulation of requirements, creating, maintaining web projects, and ensuring their quality.

Types of educational activities: lectures, seminars, independent work, laboratory works.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular assessment of theoretical training –
learning outcomes (knowledge PLO 1.1, 1.2), which is 40% of the total grade, and
assessment of practical training – learning outcomes (skill PLO 2.1, 2.2);
(communication PLO 3.1, 3.2); (autonomy and responsibility PLO 4.1, 4.2), which
makes up 60% of the total grade.
Assessment of semester work:
1. Control tests (test tasks), additions;
2. Report (presentation on the topics of lectures and based on individual work);
3. Laboratory work (web project and auxiliary tasks to it).
The semester final grade is formed by the points obtained by the student in the process of performing the specified types and forms of education and obtained in the exam. The maximum distribution is carried out according to the following algorithm: 60 points (60%) - semester control and 40 points (40%) - exam.
