PLO 16.1. Skillfully apply the methodology of intertextuality and modern reconstructive techniques both in the field of cultural anthropology and in the interdisciplinary aspect. PLO 17.1. Knowledge of the anthropological and cognitive aspects of the study of contemporary urban culture, subcultures, ethno-cultural origins and structural models in the Internet verbal and multimedia culture. PLO 18.1. To review, comment, annotate, edit and create original texts (scientific, popular science, journalistic, fiction) on cultural issues. PLO 18.2. Carry out expeditionary activities in order to identify, record elements of the NCC and prepare their inclusion in the national register and UNESCO World Heritage.

Full-time form

Prior to taking this course, students should know the semantics of ritual practices, the functional load of texts of contemporary folklore, and the specifics of the interaction between folklore and mass culture. To be able to analyze the mythological basis of rituals, to distinguish similar motifs and plots in synchrony and diachrony, to determine the period of layering of verbal or action elements on a cultural tradition. Possess basic skills of scientific research, comparative method, critical thinking and determine the basis of cultural ideas, unified parts of the tradition.

The purpose of the discipline is to develop students' knowledge about the problems of the relationship between traditional and modern folklore, their special properties of mutual influence, functional load, ways and conditions of functioning in the city. Annotation. The discipline "Anthropology of Urban Culture" belongs to the list of compulsory disciplines and is taught in the first or second semester of the master's program - in accordance with the curriculum of a specific philological educational program. The discipline "Anthropology of Urban Culture" studies the conceptual boundaries of the concepts of "Urban Culture", "City Culture", "City Subcultures", their social significance, problems of interdependence and mutual influence. The theoretical content of the course is aimed at studying the problem of interaction between urban culture and traditional folklore, its genetic connection with folk culture, researching the conditions of functioning of folklore texts in new socio-communicative realities, genre and stylistic features of new folklore texts and works of urban culture.

The course has 3 content parts. The first part of the course is devoted to urban culture as a culture of the globalization era. The second part of the course focuses on the relationship between urban and traditional culture. The third part studies the interaction of cultures in the contemporary socio-cultural space. Classes are held in the form of lectures, seminars, and interactive teaching methods. All learning outcomes are assessed during lectures and seminars throughout the semester. Students submit a creative assignment at the end of the last lecture week. The course ends with a test.

The final number of points for the discipline (maximum 100 points) is defined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final test. The credit is given based on the results of the student's work throughout the entire semester and does not include additional assessment measures. For students who scored a total of less than the critical minimum of 60 points, in order to receive credit, it is necessary to complete the missed topics in writing and submit/send by e-mail to the teacher conducting the seminar classes. Thus, the final grade for the discipline (minimum 60, maximum 100 points) consists of the sum of the number of points for the semester work (minimum 48, maximum 80 points) and the final test (minimum 12, maximum 20 points).
