Describe the theoretical principles (concepts, categories, principles, basic ideas, etc.) and applied aspects of Chinese philology. PLO 16. Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. successful study of the disciplines "Introduction to Oriental Philology", "Fundamentals of Linguistics (synchrony)", "Fundamentals of Linguistics (diachrony)", "Lexicology of the Chinese Language", "Theoretical Phonetics of the Chinese Language", "Theoretical Grammar of the Chinese Language", "Vocabulary of the Chinese language", "Theoretical aspects of the syntax of the Chinese language", "Stylistics of the Chinese language", etc.; 2. knowledge of linguistic terminology and basic laws of language development to the extent necessary for proper processing of theoretical and applied issues studied within the proposed discipline; 3. mastering the skills of analytical processing of linguistic material of various kinds.
Course content
The goal of the academic discipline is an in-depth study of current problems of Chinese linguistics both in the traditional dimension (theoretical grammar, phonetics and stylistics) and within new linguistic directions (psycholinguistics, cognitive and communicative linguistics). The study discipline "Topical problems of Chinese linguistics" is a mandatory component of the multi-semester discipline of the elective block "Chinese Studies: Linguistic Studies". In the second semester, the discipline is taught for a total of 30 hours. (1 ECTS credit), including 4 hours of classroom classes, of which 2 hours are lectures and 2 hours are seminar classes, 26 hours are unsupervised work. In the third semester, the discipline is taught for a total of 60 hours. (2 ECTS credits), including 4 hours of classroom classes, of which 2 hours are lectures and 2 hours are seminar classes, 56 hours are unsupervised work.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge 1.1 - 1.4), which makes up 40% of the total assessment, and the assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills 2.1-2.3); (communication 3.1); (autonomy and responsibility 4.1-4.2), which is 60% of the total grade. Evaluation of the semester work is carried out in the following forms: oral response at the seminar class, additions, participation in the discussion, blitz survey, control work with open answers, preparation and defense of the presentation.
Assessment methods and criteria
The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student in the process of learning the material from the entire educational course. The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work (which includes the unsupervised work as well on processing theoretical material for classroom preparation: oral answers, additions, tests, presentation defense) and for independent work (presentation preparation). All types of work for the semester have as a result: In case of the exam: The final number of points for the discipline (maximum 100 points) is defined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final assessment (exam (minimum 24, maximum 40 points). In case of absence from the seminar session, the student must complete the assignment for the seminar.
