Prerequisites and co-requisites
In order to pass the practice smoothly, students should also know: the theoretical and methodological foundations of foreign language teaching; the psychological basis of foreign language teaching in profession-oriented high school; the theoretical basis of teaching technology modeling, basics of scientific activity in the field of teaching methods; be able to: effectively construct the teaching process of a foreign language in various profession-oriented educational institutions, in accordance with the learning tasks and conditions; use modern methods and technologies of foreign language teaching, technologies to diagnose students’ foreign language knowledge, skills and abilities; develop and test foreign language teaching technologies; possess elementary skills of: teaching a foreign language, and research skills.
Course content
The purpose of this discipline is to develop students’ skills as foreign language teachers in specialized high schools and to develop, implement, and test their own foreign language teaching techniques. Abstract. Production practice (foreign language) is designed to ensure the formation of professional, pedagogical abilities and skills in conducting educational work in profession-oriented high schools. Pedagogical practice contributes to the development of professional self-awareness, culture of communication, and the formation the theoretical, practical and personal motivation components of students’ professional competence. In addition, during it’s the completion process, students develop teaching skills and their own creative teaching styles. The focus of pedagogical practice is to form students’ ability and willingness to develop, implement and test foreign language teaching technologies. The mode of the practice is full-time / online.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Major activities performed by students in school include: 1. Analysis of school documentation; 2. observing host teachers and peers' lessons; 3. analysing students’ psychological profile; 4.planning, designing and conducting English language classes; 5. implementing original innovative teaching techniques; 6. designing curriculum lesson plan; 7. ensuring effective communication between teachers and learners; 8. preparing a report. Teaching methods: practical (lesson teaching), project and research methods (designing the innovative techniques in teaching English and their testing, curriculum planning).
Assessment methods and criteria
The overall assessment for credit consists of the grades obtained during the practice: 1) passive practice (max. 34 points); 2) active practice (max. 48 points); 3) class psychological description (max. 5 points); 4) plans-summaries of credit lessons (max. 8 points); 5) defense of report documentation (max. 5 points). Depending on the outcome of the study, the student can earn a maximum of 100 points and a minimum of 60 points: LO 1.1-1.4; LO 2.1-2.7; LO 3.1-3.3, LO 4.1-4.6. Students are not allowed to defend the practice outcomes if the full documentation is not submitted, and if the assignment types for active and passive practice have a grade of less than 40 and 9 points (60% of maximum grade), respectively.
