Learning outcomes
Program Learning Outcomes PLO 4. Know and apply modern views, approaches, methods, principles, tools, and organizational forms of teaching and education in profession-oriented high school and tertiary school; methods, techniques, and the tools of measuring learning outcomes. PLO 5. Know the developmental characteristics of young adolescents, the features of psychophysiological adaptation of secondary and tertiary students and consider them in learning process. PLO 8. Know research methodology in language teaching and apply it in scientific work. PLO 9. Prerequisites and co-requisites
Students are expected to possess essential knowledge of the main stages and characteristics of the historical and cultural process, the place of ethics among the philosophical sciences The course prerequisites also emphasize the following skills and the ability to: collect and interpret information on cultural phenomena and events, cultural processes and events; to single out actual socio-cultural problems and substantiate the principles and ways of solving them; the elementary skills of scientific research and information management; critical thinking and forecasting regarding political, economic, cultural and artistic events and phenomena; use of foreign language professional informative sources.
Course content
The discipline belongs to the list of obligatory disciplines and is taught at 1-st or 2-nd semester of magistracy -in accordance with the curriculum. Тhe discipline aims to form an educated specialist, ethically competent and morally oriented to awareness, conscious and ethically balanced performance of professional activities. The subject field of applied professional and corporate ethics is defined as well as features of ethical regulation of professional and corporate ethics, their place in the structure of ethical knowledge, peculiarities of ethical regulations of professional activity and ethical measuring of professionalism. The mission and structure of the ethical infrastructure as a tool for managing values in professional and corporate activities is clarified, in particular an ethical code ( including a teaching one), ethical monitoring and ethical audit as control of ethical activity. The basics of corporate culture and moral standards of professional activity of organization/educational institution. The grounds of corporate social responsibility are clarified. In particular the basics of pedagogical ethics, its structure and the subject field are defined. It focuses on university ethics, the value-normative principles of a scientist's activity in culturally historical development of university life, the university mission in contemporary sociocultural practice. Normative values of principles of professional activities of a specialist/lecturer/teacher/scientist, ethical measuring of correlation of ethics and technology are clarified. Peculiarities of social responsibility in science are specified. Valuable bases of translation, norms and principles of translation ethics are illuminated.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The discipline combines lectures, seminars, and independent learning. Teaching methods: explanation of new material, independent work with scientific literature, collection of material for essays and discussions, interaction with the teacher and fellow students, analysis of a conflict situation and finding ways to resolve it, modelling professional situations taking into account the requirements of corporate ethics.
Assessment methods and criteria
Formative assessment is targeted at classroom performance, participating in classroom discussions, essays and final tests. A detailed description of assessment scoring is given in the course description
