PLO 2. Process information effectively: collect relevant information from a variety of sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyse and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. PLO 7. Understand the major issues of philology and approaches to solving those using relevant methods and innovative approaches. PLO 12. Analyse language units, determine their interaction, and characterize linguistic phenomena and the underlying processes. PLO 17. Collect, analyse, systematize and interpret language and speech facts and use them to solve complex problems and problems in specialized fields of professional activity and/or study. PLO 19. Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know the grammatical systems of the Italian and Ukrainian languages, to have professional terminology. 2. To be able to carry out grammatical analysis of sentences and texts in Italian and Ukrainian languages. 3. To have the basic skills of comparing morphological and syntactic units of the Italian and Ukrainian languages.
Course content
The discipline is one of the mandatory ones and is one of the specialized disciplines in the complex of translation studies. The purpose of lectures on the discipline, which are taught in Italian, is to acquaint students with the theoretical and methodological principles of conducting a comparative analysis of the grammatical systems of the Italian and Ukrainian languages. The purpose of the practical classes is to consolidate the material presented in the lectures, to form students' abilities and skills in theoretical and practical comparative and comparative analysis of morphological and syntactic units of the Italian and Ukrainian languages.

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment (min. 36 points / max. 60 points): answers to control questions on the topics of lectures - 6 / 10 points; completion of practical tasks and activity in the classroom - 12 / 20 points; work with primary sources and note-taking - 9 / 15 points; preparation of a course project - 9 / 15 points (written part). Final assessment in the form of an exam (max. 40 points): The maximum number of points in the exam includes points for defending a course project (12 / 20 points), answering one theoretical question (6 / 10 points) and completing one practical task (6 / 10 points). Conditions for admission to the final exam: students who have scored a total of less than the critical-calculated minimum of 36 points are not allowed to take the exam; to be admitted to the exam, such students must complete a course project, pass 50% of practical assignments, or study and compile a summary of 50% of primary sources.
