Learning outcomes
PLO 1. Communicate freely on professional issues with experts and non-experts in Ukrainian, Spanish and English, in oral and in written form, use these languages to ensure effective cross-cultural communication. PLO 9. Characterize dialect and social varieties of Spanish and English, to describe the sociolinguistic situation. PLO 10. Know the rules of standard language and be able to apply them in practice.PLO 10. Know the system of the first foreign language. PLO 13. Know the norms of the first foreign language and be able to apply them in practice. PLO 17. Use the first foreign language in oral and written form, in different genre and style varieties and registers of communication (formal, informal, neutral), to solve communicative problems in various spheres of life. PLO 34.1. Have a command of modern versions and registers of the first foreign language.

Course content
The purpose of the discipline is the formation of linguistic and cultural competences of future philologists-translators from the Italian language at an advanced stage of study. It involves the development of skills and abilities to use the Italian language in various situations of intercultural communication; is designed to ensure the appropriate level of linguistic and cultural knowledge as a basis for interlingual mediation. The discipline belongs to the optional components of the block "Translation in intercultural communication" of the educational and professional program. It has a profile character and is multi-semester.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Independent work and work in practical classes: performance of oral and written homework, preparation of extracurricular (individual) reading tasks, search and presentation of information on topics specified in the program, creative tasks (composition or narration), listening.
Assessment methods and criteria
During the 5th semester, the assessment is carried out in accordance with the types of work and the form of control described in clause 7.1 of the programe of the discipline. The grade is based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not include additional assessment measures. Students who have scored a positive number of points from 60 to 100 receive "passed". Students who do not score the minimum positive number of points - from 0 to 59 - receive a "fail" grade. During the 6th semester, the assessment is carried out in accordance with the types of work and the form of control described in clause 7.1 of the discipline program. The semester assessment forms the mid-course control score, 20% of which is included in the final score for the 7th semester.
