Learning outcomes
PLO 10. Know the rules of standard language and be able to apply them in practice. PLO 11. Know the principles, technologies and techniques necessary to produce oral and written texts of different genres and styles in Ukrainian, Spanish and English. PLO 12. Analyse language units, determine their interaction, and characterize linguistic phenomena and the underlying processes. PLO 15. Carry out linguistic, literary and translation analysis of texts of various styles and genres.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The student must successfully complete the following disciplines: "Introduction to Linguistics", "History of the First Foreign Language", "Comparative Lexicology of the First Foreign and Ukrainian Languages", "Comparative Grammar of the First Foreign and Ukrainian Languages", "Practical Course of the First Foreign Language" and know - basic linguistic concepts; - principles of language material analysis; - features of semantics, structure and functioning of units of all levels of the Spanish language; - the basics of communication theory; be able to: - apply linguistic tools in practice; have basic skills of - selection, analysis and interpretation of linguistic facts; - communicate on linguistic topics.
Course content
The discipline consists of two parts: the first "Basic Concepts of Spanish Stylistics", "Theory of Figures" is aimed at mastering the basic concepts of the theory of stylistics, as well as at studying the stylistic differentiation of Spanish vocabulary and the stylistic possibilities of the means of other language levels; the second "Functional Stylistics. Theory of Figures" covers the system of functional styles of modern Spanish and aims to introduce the modern theory of figures. The discipline, firstly, continues the development of the terminological language apparatus, the study of language theory, and secondly, the practical and theoretical mastery of the Spanish language as such, which was started in the junior years, the development of skills related to the field of professional activity. Classes are held in the form of lectures and seminars. The course ends with an exam.

Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment criteria: oral response max. 20 points, supplementary information max. 6 points, participation in discussions max. 20 points. Preparation of the presentation max - 7 points, defence of the presentation max -7 points. The maximum number of points during the semester is 60. The minimum is 36. The course ends with an exam - 24/40.
