Learning outcomes
PLO3. Organize the process of learning and self-education. PLO13. Analyze and interpret works of Ukrainian and foreign fiction and oral folklore, determine their specificity and place in the literary process. PLO15. Carry out linguistic, literary and special philological analysis of texts of different styles and genres. PLO16. To know and understand the basic concepts, theories and concepts of the chosen philological specialization, to be able to apply them in professional activities.

Course content
The course introduces students to the achievements of Vietnamese literature of the ancient period, as well as to folklore samples of literature that were in oral form. The course provides students with a holistic view of the literary process of the Ancient East, including Vietnam, and the study of archaic literary texts in synchronic and diachronic aspects in literary and cultural contexts.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course provides for the following forms of learning organization: lectures and seminars conducted using interactive teaching methods, and individual work. The main types of work and, accordingly, the objects of semester control are: classroom work, answers to seminar classes, essays, presentations, and open-ended module tests. Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, including theoretical training, which accounts for 40% of the total grade, and practical training, which accounts for 60% of the total grade. The semester grade is formed by the points received by the student for classroom work and for individual work. The evaluation criteria are presented in the discipline's work program, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
