"1. Before starting this course, students should be familiar with the fundamental stages and characteristics of the social and cultural process and possess fundamental knowledge in the humanities and social sciences.
2.They should be able to collect and interpret information about social phenomena, processes, and events; identify contemporary features of coexistence among human communities in the context of globalization; plan and evaluate their own work; and utilize interactive and multimedia learning tools.
3.Students should have elementary skills in working with humanitarian texts and maintain a critical attitude towards political, economic, socio-cultural processes, events, and phenomena."
Course content
The educational discipline acquaints students with philosophical thought in its historical development and current state, with the fundamental way of comprehending the foundations of human existence, cognition, and activity mediated by the peculiarities of the corresponding socio-cultural era. It provides a comprehensive understanding of the specificity of philosophical knowledge, its problematics, concepts, categories, and structure. It demonstrates the methodological role of philosophical knowledge in understanding ontological, epistemological, axiological, and social problems of being. It familiarizes students with the fundamental regularities of the development of nature and society and the place of a person in the world.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Educational activities: oral responses, comments, control work, esseys, examination.
Teaching methods: lecture, seminars, independent work, consultations.
Assessment methods and criteria
The semester's total score is formed by the points obtained by the student in the process of mastering the material from all three parts of the course and completing independent work. The overall semester grade consists of points obtained for: 1) classroom work (oral responses, additions, and participation in discussions during seminars), 2) independent individual work (essay writing), 3) tests. All types of work during the semester have:
- maximum - 60.
- minimum - 36.
The final grade for the discipline (minimum 60, maximum 100 points) is composed of the sum of points for the semester (minimum - 36, maximum - 60 points) and the examination work (minimum - 24, maximum - 40 points).
