Learning outcomes
PLO 2 Work effectively with information: select necessary information from various sources, in particular from professional literature and electronic bases, critically analyze, interpret, organize, classify and systematize it. PLO 13 Analyze and interpret Ukrainian and foreign fiction and folklore, define their specificity and place in literature process (according to the selected specialization). PLO 15 Carry out linguistic and literary analysis of the texts of various styles and genres. PLO 19 Have the skills to participate in theoretical and/or applied studies in the field of philology. Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting this course, students should know the historical periods, stylistic direction and phenomena of Ukrainian literature in comparison with foreign literature, be well oriented in the modern literary process; know the spelling norms of the modern Ukrainian literary language, to know the basics of editing and self-editing. To be able to analyze literary phenomena using modern methods of literary analysis; to write scientifically verified large-format analytical texts within the deadlines established by the educational process.
Course content
The discipline is aimed at developing students' skills in creating a large-format scientific text, particularly focusing on step-by-step work with various sources of information and analytical approaches to processing the material. The course project is intended to provide students with the main instructions for writing a scientific text developed as an analytical study. The step-by-step creation of a written work follows an established model, addressing educational tasks such as defining a literary problem, applying selected methods of analysis, using appropriate terminological apparatus, professionally interpreting texts, constructing conclusive statements, and effectively working with scientific literature.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Educational activities: oral answers, comments, written tasks, creative project, public defense of course work. Teaching methods: consultations, independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
Introduction (minimum 3 - maximum 10), preparation of the list of references (minimum 2 - maximum 10), formation of the scientific section (minimum 3 - maximum 15), realization of the purpose of scientific research in the practical section (minimum 3 - maximum 15), conclusions (minimum 3 - maximum 10), presentation of the course project (minimum 9 - maximum 20). The form of the final assessement is the credit. The grading scale is as follows: "Passed" - 60-100. "Failed" - 0-59.
