Learning outcomes
PLO 2 Work effectively with information: select necessary information from various sources, in particular from professional literature and electronic bases, critically analyze, interpret, organize, classify and systematize it. Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before the course, students should: have knowledge of the material covered in the programs of the previous courses of the integrated educational discipline ""History of Ukrainian Literature"" (Medieval and Baroque), ""Fundamentals of Literary Studies""; be able to analyze literary texts and scholarly information, independently process critical sources, and express their thoughts verbally and in writing; possess skills in identifying genre-stylistic features of the analyzed text, its themes, and issues; be capable of working with information and scholarly research.
Course content
The aim of the discipline is to familiarize students with the emergence of the new Ukrainian literature and the literary process of the first half of the 19th century, along with the leading personalities in Ukrainian literature and their creative contributions. The objective is to elucidate the genre-stylistic and imagery-thematic palette of works from this period, exploring the ideological and aesthetic parameters of creativity, as well as the distinctive features of individual authors' styles. The course also aims to trace the interaction between the Ukrainian literary process of the first half of the 19th century and the European literary tradition. Throughout the course, significant attention is given to the analysis of the individual style of writers, examining the characteristics and uniqueness of the poetics of their works.

Teaching methods: lecture, seminar, independent work. Educational activities during the semester: participation in seminar discussions, creative assignments, and module control work.
Assessment methods and criteria
Response during a seminar session – max. 5 / min. 3; creative assignment – max. 6 / min. 4; module control work - max. 25 / min. 12. Semester assessment forms the score for interim control. Final assessment is not applicable.
