Learning outcomes
PLO 5. Collect, organize and analyze information about cultural phenomena, events and historical and cultural processes.
PLO 6. Identify, verify and summarize information about various contexts of cultural practice, determine the degree of their relevance using relevant sources, information, communication tools and visual technologies.
PLO 14. Conduct a public discussion and support a dialogue on issues of Ukrainian culture with specialists and non-specialists.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of courses: "Historical and ethnographic regions of Ukraine", "Introduction to ethnocultural studies", "Material culture of Ukrainians", "Ukrainian ceremonial culture", "Museum communication, "Ethnotourism and centers of folk culture", "Ukrainian oral culture".
2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of ethnocultural studies; museum communication; material culture of Ukrainians.
3. Possession of the basic skills of scientific and methodical, organizational work in the museum space; acquire knowledge about the types, internal organization, specifics of artistic and organizational activities of museums; to work with the funds and exposition of ethnographic museums.
4. Skills and abilities of scientific-methodical and organizational work in the field of traditional culture for scientific-research, reconstruction, organizational, creative and other types of competences of an ethnocultural specialist.
Course content
Industrial ethnographic practice of undergraduate students is an important stage of their practical training, education and upbringing as future specialists. Practice takes place in the 6th semester for students of the specialty 034 cultural studies of the educational program "Ethnocultural studies with in-depth study of a foreign language". Production "Folklore" practice aims to form the student's knowledge of modern cultural institutions specializing in traditional culture, their work methodology; abilities and skills of scientific-methodical and organizational work in the field of traditional culture for scientific-research, reconstruction, organizational, creative and other types of competences of an ethnocultural specialist. Industrial practice is carried out in accordance with current curricula during six weeks of the sixth semester, for which 6 credits are expected. Students specializing in the department of folkloristics undergo practice at the National Museum of Ivan Honchar Museum and the National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
1. Analysis of production practice plans developed by the student together with the practice supervisor and the academic supervisor;
2. Visiting practice bases by the practice supervisor, analysis of scientific and analytical work, checking compliance with the schedule and aspects of its completion, consulting students during scientific research work and drawing up reports;
3. Verification of individual student reports;
4. Attending the final event;
5. Summing up the results of the practice, writing a general report by the head of the practice.
Assessment methods and criteria
The defense of the reporting documentation takes place at the reporting conference.
All types of work have a total
- in the maximum dimension 100 points,
- in the minimum dimension - 60 points.
The student is allowed to participate in the final assessment if he or she has completed all the work provided for in the plan.
- Final assessment: differentiated credit
The total number of points in the discipline (maximum 100 points) is determined as the sum of points for all types of work. The grade is based on the results of the student's work and does not include additional assessment measures.
