Learning outcomes
PLO 4. To know and understand theoretical approaches to the definition of culture, its manifestations and forms. PLO 6. Identify, verify and summarize information on various contexts of cultural practice, determine the degree of their relevance using relevant sources, information, communication tools and visual technologies. PLO 8. Interpret ethnocultural sources (material, printed, visual, artistic) using special literature and certain methods, reasonably present conclusions about their content.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting the study of this discipline, students should know: basic information on the history of Ukraine, in particular, the development of cultural life in Ukraine in the 19th century; be able to: select, process and systematize scientific sources on a specific issue; to have elementary skills of abstracting a scientific text.
Course content
The goal of the discipline is to form theoretical knowledge and practical skills, synthesizing the methodology of ethnocultural studies, from the history, genesis, regional originality and national identity of folk art. Freely operate the scientific terminological apparatus of ethnocultural studies, folkloristics and art history. Abstract. The educational discipline is devoted to the study of general issues of the educational discipline: the history of development, the current state of folk art; revival and preservation of traditional types of folk art, schools and centers. The educational discipline provides for the study of various types of folk art, the problems of their popularization and preservation.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course includes 2 content parts. Forms of education: lectures, seminars, 2 intermediate control papers. Throughout the semester, after lectures on relevant topics, seminar classes are held, at which evaluations are carried out according to the types of work (oral answer, mid-term control papers, performance of an individual task).
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides a two-level assessment of the learned material, assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge) - 40% of the total assessment, and assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills, communication, autonomy and responsibility) - 60% of the total evaluations. Evaluation of the semester work: oral answer at the seminar session - 14/28 p., performance of individual work - 10/14 p., intermediate control work - 12/18 p. The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work, which synthesizes and independent work on processing theoretical material for classroom preparation: oral answers at seminars, intermediate test papers. All types of work for the semester have a total of 36/60 points. The course ends with a written exam of 24/40 points. The examination task consists of 30 test questions (1 correct answer - 1 point) and one extended one - 1/10 points.
