Learning outcomes
PLO 4. Know and understand theoretical approaches to the definition of culture, its manifestations and forms of existence.
PLO 6. Identify, verify and summarize information about various contexts of cultural practice, determine the degree of their relevance using relevant sources, information, communication tools and visual technologies.
PLO 8. Interpret ethno-cultural sources (material, printed, visual, artistic) using special literature and defined methods, present reasoned conclusions about their content.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the courses "Historical and Ethnographic Regions of Ukraine", "Mythology", "Introduction to Ethnocultural Studies", "Ukrainian Ritual Culture", "History of Ukrainian Culture". 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of the history of Ukrainian culture.
As a result of studying the academic discipline, the student must:
Know:
1.1. basic concepts and terms from the national traditional system of Ukrainians;
1.3. content, structure and functions of the national traditional system.
Be able:
2.1. to collect, organize and analyze information on the elements of the national traditional system of Ukrainians;
2.2. carry out a description of technical and constructive features of samples of folk clothing;
2.3. identify typical features and carry out classification of elements of Ukrainian folk costumes.
Course content
The educational discipline is dedicated to the study of general issues of the course: the history of the development of Ukrainian national clothing; the current state of development of issues related to the study of folk traditional textiles; material basis for ensuring the production of clothing items. The course provides for the study of the peculiarities of the folk dress of Ukrainians of various historical and ethnographic regions.

Assessment methods and criteria
The final number of points for the discipline (maximum 100 points) is defined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final test. The credit is given based on the results of the student's work throughout the entire semester and does not include additional assessment measures.
Therefore, the final grade for the discipline (minimum 60, maximum 100 points) consists of the sum of the number of points for the semester work (minimum 48, maximum 80 points) and the final test (minimum 12, maximum 20 points).
