PLO 4. To know and understand theoretical approaches to the definition of culture, its manifestations and forms.
PLO 6. Identify, verify and summarize information on various contexts of cultural practice, determine the degree of their relevance using relevant sources, information, communication tools and visual technologies.
PLO 8. Interpret ethnocultural sources (material, printed, visual, artistic) using special literature and certain methods, reasonably present conclusions about their content.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The student must know basic information on ethnography and history of Ukraine, Ukrainian ritual culture, history of Ukrainian culture, folk Ukrainian decorative and applied art; to be able to select, process and systematize scientific sources on a specific issue.
Course content
The goal of the discipline is to form theoretical knowledge and practical skills to freely operate the scientific terminological apparatus of ethnocultural studies, folkloristics and art studies, synthesizing the methodology of ethnocultural studies of the regional uniqueness of Ukrainian folk culture. To ensure that students master the general system of methodological approaches to the study of regional specificity and local features of traditional culture of Ukraine, the stages of cultural development of each ethnographic region of Ukraine, the main features of the material and spiritual culture of Ukrainians. Abstract. The educational discipline is devoted to the study of general issues of the educational discipline: the history of development, the current state of folk culture of the ethnographic regions of Ukraine: the problems of revival and preservation of traditional types of economic activity, the study of regional features of the national life of Ukrainians, housing, cuisine, arts and crafts, folk knowledge and practices.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course includes 2 content parts. Forms of education: lectures, seminars, 2 intermediate control papers. During the semester, after the lectures on the relevant topics, seminar classes are held, at which evaluation is carried out according to the types of work (oral answer, intermediate control papers, performance of an individual task).
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides a two-level assessment of the learned material, assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge) - 40% of the total assessment, and assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills, communication, autonomy and responsibility) - 60% of the total evaluations. Evaluation of the semester work: oral answer at the seminar session - 14/28 p., performance of individual work - 10/14 p., intermediate control work - 12/18 p. The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work, which synthesizes and independent work on processing theoretical material for classroom preparation: oral answers at seminars, intermediate test papers. All types of work for the semester have a total of 36/60 points. The course ends with a written exam of 24/40 points. The examination task consists of 30 test questions (1 correct answer - 1 point) and one extended one - 1/10 points.
