Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting the study of this discipline, students should know philosophical and culturological categories, concepts, theoretical foundations of the history of civilizations and cultures. Be able to master the basics of cultural analysis, analytical and comparative skills; analyze artistic and artistic artifacts, work with specialized literature and primary sources. Possess elementary skills of scientific research and information management; critical attitude and forecasting regarding cultural events and phenomena.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to form students' awareness of the main patterns of the historical development of Ukrainian culture as an organic component of the world cultural and civilizational process. Abstract. The educational discipline is aimed at the systematic analysis of the history of national culture in the world context. It covers the sequence of the historical development of national culture from the culture of the historical ancestors of the Ukrainian people and the culture of the ethnic group to the culture of the people, the nation. Its subject is the study of the history of Ukrainian culture in the European context. The main tasks of the discipline: acquiring a system of knowledge about the origins and trends of the development of national culture from Proto-Slavic times to the beginning of the 21st century; understanding the trends of individual areas of development of Ukrainian culture.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course includes 3 content parts. The first part of the course is the concept of national culture. Culture of the pre-Christian era. Culture of Kyivan Rus"". The second part is "Development of national culture of the 16th-18th centuries." The third part is "Spiritual searches of the 19th-21st centuries." Forms of education: lectures, seminars, independent work. Throughout the semester, after the lectures on the relevant topics, seminar classes are held, which are evaluated according to the types of work (oral answer, addition, blitz survey, participation in discussions at lectures and seminar classes, creative team cultural project, assessment).
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, in particular assessment of theoretical training – learning outcomes make up 40% of the total grade assessment of practical training – learning outcomes make up 60% of the total grade. Assessment of semester work: oral answer, additions, participation in discussions at lectures and seminars, blitz survey: 80 points. Credit creative task-cultural project: 20 p. The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work (which synthesizes and independent work on processing theoretical material for classroom preparation: oral answers, additions, blitz surveys, creative team project) and for independent work (preparation of a report). All types of work for the semester have a total of 80 points. The discipline ends with a credit (creative task) 20 p.
