PRN 4. To know and understand theoretical approaches to the definition of culture, its manifestations and forms of existence. PRN 7. To understand the factors of ethnocultural dynamics, the principles of periodization of ethnocultural processes, their specific features and characteristics. PRN 10. Recognize and classify different types of ethno-cultural products, determine their quality characteristics based on comprehensive analysis.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting the course, students should have basic factual knowledge of a humanitarian nature, which is the basis of cultural studies (ethnocultural studies), and understand the essence and specifics of the theoretical discourse of modern ethnocultural studies around the phenomena of ethnocultural studies. To be able to apply acquired knowledge and skills in the process of multi-aspect analysis of folklore substrate and ethno-cultural phenomena in value and communicative dimensions. To have the methodology of ethnocultural analysis; elementary skills of using the terminological apparatus of cultural studies (ethnocultural studies) for conducting research work corresponding to the first (bachelor's) level.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to acquaint students with the main aspects of the study of ethnoculture and the factors of its dynamics in the context of the genesis and evolution of material and spiritual culture, worldview, ethical, aesthetic ideas and social institutions of the Ukrainian people as a holistic phenomenon and a unique cultural-historical type. Abstract. The educational discipline is designed to provide students with systematic knowledge of ethnocultural studies as a science that analyzes the traditional type of culture and the problems of intercultural communication, in particular, the culture of the Ukrainian people. The subject of the discipline is the historical, social and cultural experience of the ethnic group, established in traditions, customs, norms and characteristics of the forms of human life and society. The task of the discipline is aimed at forming students' professional skills in the analysis of cultural phenomena and processes using general scientific and special scientific methods and taking into account different contexts.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course includes 2 content parts. The course program consists of two parts: Part 1. "Historical and theoretical aspects of the subject field of ethnocultural studies." Part 2. "Traditionalology. Life as a cultural phenomenon. The content and symbolism of material and spiritual culture". Forms of education: lectures, seminars, scientific seminar, independent work. Throughout the semester, after the lectures on the relevant topics, seminar classes are held, which are evaluated according to the types of work (oral answer, supplement, report at a scientific seminar, blitz survey, participation in discussions at lectures and seminar classes, intermediate control test, credit) . A scientific seminar is held no later than the last lecture week, at which students present an independently prepared presentation on one of the topical problems of modern ethnocultural studies.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge) - 40% of the total assessment, and assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills, communication, autonomy and responsibility - 60% of the overall assessment. Evaluation of the semester work: oral response, additions, participation in discussions at lectures and seminars, blitz survey, intermediate control test: 25/45 points. Scientific seminar presentation of a scientific report: 11/15 b. The overall grade for the semester consists of points obtained for classroom work (which synthesizes and independent work on processing theoretical material for classroom preparation: oral answers, additions, blitz surveys, intermediate control tests, presentation of a scientific report) and for independent work (preparation reports).
