Learning outcomes
PLO 2. Effectively work with information: select the necessary information from various sources, in particular from specialized literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. PLO 15. To carry out linguistic, literary and special philological analysis of texts of various styles and genres. PLO 22. To carry out a complex interdisciplinary analysis of a folklore product. PLO 23. To characterize the semantics and pragmatics of rituals and ceremonial complexes. PLO 25.1 Apply knowledge of the mechanisms of emergence and development of the phenomena of the traditional cultural heritage of the Ukrainian people in practical activities (specialization "Applied Folkloristics").

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting the study of this discipline, students must: − to know Ukrainian folklore, the theory of folklore, the history of folkloristics − To be able to work with various sources of educational and scientific information, process it, make generalizations and conclusions. − To have elementary skills of folklore text analysis
Course content
The goal of the discipline is the formation of knowledge about the main concepts, content and tasks of examination, identification of cultural values, application of modern methods of researching verbal folklore as an intangible cultural heritage of the Ukrainian people. The main goals of studying the academic discipline "Verbal Folklore Expertise" are to acquire special knowledge of the basics of folkloristics, the laws of collective text creation as a way of manifesting the traditional ideas of the people through oral literature, its classification; to study the procedure and methods of conducting an expert assessment of the National Cultural Heritage of Ukraine, directions of the state policy of ensuring the protection of the national cultural heritage of Ukraine.

Methods: lecture, practical session, independent work Activities: answer to a practical lesson, creative task, control work.
Assessment methods and criteria
Final evaluation in the form of an exam: the maximum number of points on the exam is 40 points, the minimum number of points that are added to the semester ones is 36 points (60% of the maximum number of points assigned to the exam). Students who scored a total of less points than the critical calculation minimum - 36 points are not allowed to take the exam. In order to be admitted to the exam, it is mandatory to complete written assignments for each task provided by the program.
