Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Before starting this course, students should know the main stages and characteristics of the historical and cultural process; have basic knowledge of of the humanities and social sciences. 2. Be able to collect and interpret information about social phenomena, processes and events; identify modern features of coexistence of human communities in the context of globalization; plan and evaluate their own work; apply interactive and multimedia learning tools. 3. Possess basic skills of working with humanitarian texts; critical attitude to political, economic, socio-cultural processes, events and phenomena.
Course content
The discipline "Philosophy" belongs to the list of compulsory disciplines of the university and is taught in the VII semester of the bachelor's degree. The discipline introduces students to philosophical thought in its historical development and current state, to the fundamental way of comprehending the foundations of human existence, cognition and activity, mediated by the peculiarities of the corresponding socio-cultural era. Provides a holistic view of the specifics of philosophical knowledge, its issues, concepts and categories, and structure. It shows the methodological role of philosophical knowledge in understanding ontological, epistemological, axiological and social problems of life. Introduces the main patterns of development of nature and society and the place of man in the world.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Methods: lecture, seminars, independent work Learning activities during the semester: oral response: a report (full and conceptual disclosure of a particular seminar question), additions, announced discussion, argumentative point of view, answer to problematic questions; test, independent work (writing an essay).
Assessment methods and criteria
Oral response, additions and participation in seminar discussions: LO 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.6, 2.1, 2.2, 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3 - 24 / 36 points; 2. Control works: LO 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.5, 1.6, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, 4.3 - 10 / 16 points; 3. Individual independent work: LO 2.1, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, 3.2, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3 -- 2 / 8 points. The total semester grade consists of points for: 1) classroom work, 2) independent individual work, 3) tests. A student is not allowed to take the exam if he or she scored less than 36 points during the semester, which in total correspond to the minimum marks for all types of academic work. The final assessment is in the form of an exam: Exam in written form: LO - 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.6, 4.3 - 24/ 40 points. The exam is assessed in writing. The ticket consists of 3 questions, the first two of which are assessed on a scale of 13 points, the third question is 14 points, which is a total of 40 points.
