Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting the study of this discipline, students must have basic knowledge of the history of Ukraine, the history of folkloristics of the 19th century, and the theory of folklore. On the basis of knowledge of the history of Ukrainian folkloristics of the 19th century, world folkloristic thought, be able to determine the mutual influence and place of Ukrainian folkloristics in the world scientific discourse, independently analyze the scientific output of domestic and foreign folklorists. Possess elementary skills of scientific research and information management, critical attitude to established stereotypes and provisions of existing research literature on the history of Ukrainian folkloristics.
Course content
Purpose of discipline - to form knowledge about the history of the development of scientific ideas, concepts, methods and approaches of domestic scientists to the study of oral literature and folk creativity in general. To find out the place of Ukrainian folkloristics in the world folkloristic discourse. Annotation. The discipline "History of folklore" is a multi-semester course, belongs to the list of mandatory disciplines, is taught in two semesters of the bachelor's degree - in accordance with the curriculum of the educational and professional program "Folklore, Ukrainian language and literature and a foreign language". In the 1st semester, "History of folklore studies of the 19th century" is taught, in the 2nd semester - "History of folklore studies of the 20th century". The peculiarities of Ukrainian folkloristics of the 90s of the 19th century and the 30s of the 20th century are revealed. and their influence on the formation of folklore science in Ukraine; the scientific discourse of the Soviet period of Ukrainian folkloristics is analyzed; current problems of modern folkloristics.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge), which makes up 35% of the total assessment, and the assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills); (communication); (autonomy and responsibility), which is 65% of the total grade. The final number of points for the discipline (maximum 100 points) is defined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final assessment (exam). Admission to the exam requires the student to successfully complete assignments and work throughout the semester. Therefore, the final grade for the discipline (minimum 60, maximum 100 points) consists of the sum of the number of points for the semester work (minimum 36, maximum 60 points) and the final assessment - the exam (minimum 24, maximum 40 points).
