The purpose of the discipline "Ukrainian Folklore" is to provide students with a systematic vision of the origins, evolution, and poetic specificity of the product of ethnocreation, to understand its artistic identity and multifunctional connections with humanities. The teaching material of the course is folk poetry texts of the canonical genres of folk literature, as well as non-verbal texts of ritual folk culture, which constitute the syncretic integrity of the folklore phenomenon. Annotation. The discipline is a component of a complex discipline, where Part 2 is devoted to the study of ceremonial folklore as a syncretic intertextual phenomenon. The object of the course is ritual texts that represent the family ritual tradition of different regions of the Ukrainian lands in its historical development.

The course includes 3 content parts, the first of which is devoted to the study of maternity folklore, the second to the study of wedding folklore, and the third to the funeral folklore text as a whole body of verbal, action, and material subtexts. Classes are held in the form of lectures and seminars, at which evaluation is carried out according to the types of work and forms of control. The discipline ends with a test. Students who scored a total number of points less than the critical calculation minimum - 48 points, are not allowed to take the test. For students who did not reach the cut-off level during the semester, they must work on the missed topics in writing and submit/send them by email to the teacher conducting the seminar classes.

Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides a two-level assessment of the learned material, assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge) - 40% of the total assessment, and assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills, communication, autonomy and responsibility) - 60% of the total evaluations Evaluation of the semester work: oral answer at the seminar session - 3/2 p., performance of four creative tasks for 7/5 p., three control papers for 20/6 p. The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work, which synthesizes and independent work on processing theoretical material for classroom preparation. All types of work for the semester have a total of 80/48 points. The discipline ends with a credit in the form of a written test (20/12b) *The sum of points received by students has a factor of 2.
