Prerequisites and co-requisites
The course is designed for students who have successfully mastered the course "Third Language. Part 2. Practical Course of the Third Language (Spanish): Communicative Level," which was studied during the 6th semester of the bachelor's program. Students are expected to possess a basic language repertoire that allows them to handle everyday situations with predictable content. They should also have an adequate lexical range to conduct routine transactions involving familiar situations and topics.
Course content
The educational component "Third Language. Part 3. Practical Course of the Third Language (Spanish): Functional Level" is part of the elective block "Translation and Third Foreign Language" according to the curriculum of the educational-professional program "German Philology and Translation, English Language." It is taught in the VII semester of the bachelor's program, comprising 5 credits; a total of 150 hours, including 70 hours of practical classes and 80 hours of independent work. The course includes 2 content modules and 2 final module control works, which conclude with a credit. The educational material ensures timely introduction of students to understanding written or oral forms of speech in the original. Conversational practice is based on the extensive use of audio-video courses, the goal of which is to teach students to comprehend foreign language audio texts and reproduce them in various forms.

Practical classes, independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
Current assessment includes oral responses during practical sessions, writing essays on assigned topics, working with audio and video courses, ongoing quizzes, and module exams. The final evaluation is through a credit. The criteria for assessment for each form of control are outlined in the course program.
