Learning outcomes
PLO 10. Know the rules of standard language and be able to apply them in practice. PLO 11. Know the principles, technologies and techniques of oral and written texts of different genres and styles creation in Ukrainian, German and English. PLO 12. Analyse language units, determine their interaction, and characterize linguistic phenomena and the underlying processes. PLO 14. Use German and English in oral and written form, in different genre-stylistic varieties and registers of communication (official, unofficial, neutral), to solve communicative tasks in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres of life. PLO 16. Know and understand the basic theories and concepts of the chosen philological specialization, be able to apply them in professional activities.

Successful mastery of the discipline "Practical Course of German Language" and proficiency in the German language at level B1.
Course content
The discipline "Theoretical Grammar" is a component of the comprehensive discipline "Theory of the German Language" within the educational-professional program for the training of specialists at the bachelor's level, in the field of knowledge 0203 Humanities, specialization 035 "Philology." The discipline is mandatory and is taught in the fifth semester with a total workload of 60 hours (2 credits), including classroom (practical) hours of 28 hours, consisting of 14 hours of lectures and 14 hours of seminar sessions, and 32 hours of independent student work. The discipline includes one thematic module and one modular control work, and its study concludes with an examination. The main forms of instruction are lectures and seminar sessions. The discipline familiarizes students with the fundamental theoretical principles of the grammatical system of the German language and develops the conceptual and terminological framework necessary for understanding various grammatical phenomena of the German language.

Assessment methods and criteria
Current assessment: 1. Attendance of lectures and active participation in the discussion of presented topics. 2. Attendance of seminar sessions, completion of practical tasks, and active participation in the discussion of presented topics. 3. Completion of assignments for independent study (*list of self-study questions provided below). 4. Compilation of a terminological glossary containing 100 lexical units, to be submitted in written and oral form. 5. Modular control work. Final assessment is a credit. Evaluation criteria for each form of assessment are provided in the course syllabus for the academic discipline.
