Learning outcomes
PLO 1. Communicate freely on professional issues with experts and non- experts in Ukrainian, German and English, in oral and in written form, use these languages to organize effective cross-cultural communication.
PLO 2. Process information effectively: collect relevant information from a variety of sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it.
PLO 11. Know the principles, technologies and techniques of oral and written texts of different genres and styles creation in Ukrainian, German and English.
PLO 17. Collect, analyze, systematize and interpret the facts of language and speech and use them to solve complex problems and problems in specialized areas of professional activity and/or study.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
To have a proficiency level in German at B2/C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, and to demonstrate acquired skills using lexical and grammatical material learned and mastered in previous courses according to the educational program.
Course content
The objectives of the course are to teach students to work with specialized texts, which includes comprehensive familiarization with the text, analysis of its structure, logic, and linguistic features on lexical, grammatical, and thematic levels, as well as oral and written translation of the text.
The main tasks of the course include preparing students for the translation of specialized texts and for professional communication in both oral and written forms, expanding their own language, communicative, sociolinguistic, and other competencies. Teaching is conducted through practical sessions and independent student work. The course concludes with an exam at the end of the semester.

- Maximum score throughout the semester: 60 points.
- Assignments completed during independent work: 15 points.
- Midterm assessment: written tests and translations - 14 points.
- Participation in practical sessions: 21 points.
- Blitz surveys: 10 points.
- Final assessment in the form of an exam: 40 points.
