PLO 1. Communicate freely on professional issues with experts and non- experts in Ukrainian, German and English, in oral and in written form, use these languages to organize effective cross-cultural communication. Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the courses "Practical Course in Second Foreign Language and Translation," "Ukrainian Language," "Introduction to Translation Studies," and "Practice of Written and Oral Translation from the Second Language." 2. Knowledge of fundamental theoretical concepts in translation studies, translation transformations, and proficiency in basic skills of oral and written translation.
Course content
The discipline "English Language and Linguistic-Cultural Aspects of Translation" aims to develop solid speaking skills and abilities necessary for conscious professional command of the English language and culture. The discipline is communicatively oriented and focuses on developing students' English language communicative competence in all language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation) using authentic materials. Significant attention is given to the development of general translation skills and abilities, which serve as a foundation for further study in translation-related disciplines.

Assessment methods and criteria
The semester assessment in the 7th semester is based on the points obtained by the student during the learning process of all course topics, as well as the completion of independent tasks and group assignments. The maximum score a student can earn for their work during the 7th semester is 50 points. The final grade is determined based on the student's performance throughout the 6th and 7th semesters, and no additional assessment measures are specified. Students who have achieved a minimum passing score of 60 points receive a grade of "pass." Students who have not reached the minimum passing score of 60 points receive a grade of "fail."
