PLO 1. Communicate freely on professional issues with experts and non- experts in Ukrainian, German and English, in oral and in written form, use these languages to organize effective cross-cultural communication. PLO 2. Process information effectively: collect relevant information from a variety of sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. PLO 5. Collaborate with colleagues, representatives of other cultures and religions, supporters of different political views, etc. PLO 14; PLO 21; PLO 23; PLO 27; PLO 28.1.

Full-time form

1. Successful completion of the courses "Practical Course in Second Foreign Language and Translation," "Ukrainian Language," "Introduction to Translation Studies," and "Practice of Written and Oral Translation from the Second Language." 2. Knowledge of fundamental theoretical concepts in translation studies, translation transformations, and proficiency in basic skills of oral and written translation.

The discipline "English Language and Linguistic-Cultural Aspects of Translation" aims to develop solid speaking skills and abilities necessary for conscious professional command of the English language and culture. The discipline is communicatively oriented and focuses on developing students' English language communicative competence in all language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation) using authentic materials. Significant attention is given to the development of general translation skills and abilities, which serve as a foundation for further study in translation-related disciplines.

Practical classes, independent work.

The semester assessment in the 6th semester is based on the points obtained by the student during the learning process of all course topics, as well as the completion of independent tasks and group assignments. The maximum score a student can earn for their work during the 6th semester is 50 points (the semester concludes with an intermediate assessment).
