Learning outcomes
PRN 10. Know the norms of literary Hindi and English languages and be able to apply them in practical activities. PRN 14. To use Hindi and English in oral and written form, in different genre-stylistic varieties and registers of communication (official, unofficial, neutral), to solve communicative tasks in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres of life. PRN 17. Collect, analyze, systematize and interpret the facts of language and speech and use them to solve complex problems and problems in specialized areas of professional activity and/or learning.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of Hindi grammar and vocabulary at a professional level from the course "Hindi Language: Advanced Level"; Knowledge of the main theoretical provisions, specifics and problems of translation studies as a science; The ability to apply translation transformations in practice and to use search engines and catalogs of Internet information resources.
Course content
The purpose of the educational discipline is to develop the skills and abilities of translation activities in the field of mass media by means of written and oral Hindi-Ukrainian one-way translation of texts of the relevant direction.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Practical, independent work.
Final assessment in the form of an exam: maximum number of points on the exam – 40 points; the minimum number of points (positive grade), which are added to the semester ones, is 24 points (60% of the maximum number of points allotted for the exam); the following learning outcomes are evaluated at the exam: RN 1.1-1.4; 2.1-2.4; the exam is conducted in written and oral form, the exam ticket consists of two parts: 1) written translation of an unfamiliar text from Hindi to Ukrainian (20 points); 2) reading and oral translation of an unfamiliar text from Hindi to Ukrainian (20 points); students who scored a total number of points less than the critical calculation minimum - 36 points are not allowed to take the exam.
Assessment methods and criteria
The semester number of points in the semester is formed by the points received by the student in the process of learning the material from the entire academic semester. The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work (which synthesizes and independent work on the development of theoretical material for classroom preparation) and for independent work (written assignments, test assignments, preparation for oral answers, modular test papers, exam). All types of work for the semester have a total of: - in the maximum dimension - 60 points, - in the minimum dimension - 36 points. In case of absence from the practical session, the student must complete the assignment. The final number of points for the discipline (maximum 100 points) is defined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final assessment (exam).
