PLO 1. To communicate freely on professional issues with specialists and non-specialists in state and foreign languages (Hindi and English) orally and in writing, use them to organize effective intercultural communication. PLO 8. To know and understand the language system, the general properties of literature as an art of words, the history of the Hindi language and literature, and be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities. PLO 11. To know the principles, technologies and methods of creating oral and written texts of various genres and styles in national and foreign (Hindi and English) languages.

Full-time form

1. To know the norms of the Ukrainian literary language, differential features of texts of different styles. 2. To be able to identify texts that need editing. 3. To have elementary skills of linguistic text analysis.

The purpose of the discipline is to form a system of theoretical and practical knowledge of the basics of editing in students, to help them master the stylistic norms of the Ukrainian literary language, to teach them how to edit and create texts of various styles and genres.

Training is carried out in the form of practical classes and self-study work of students, which involves working with the text (analysis, editing, creation), preparation for oral answers, scientific reports, and modular tests.

The semestral number of points consists of the points scored in the process of learning during the entire educational course, which includes classroom activity and self-study work (min. 48 / max. 80 points). The final control test is scored min. 12 / max. 20 points. The total number of points credited for the course (min. 60 / max. 100 points) is calculated as the sum of points scored for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final control test’s results. Students who scored totally less than the required minimum of 60 points, should – in order to receive credit – complete missed lessons in written.
