Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge of the main grammatical categories of the Ukrainian language and general linguistic concepts, mastering the skills of lexical-grammatical sentence analysis.
Course content
introducing students to the basics of the normative grammar of the Latin language, forming ideas about the influence of the Latin language on the development of modern European languages and international scientific terminology, developing the skills to read, translate and analyze Latin texts. The course "Latin language" is part of the complex mandatory discipline "Prophetic languages" and consists of two content parts. The first contains a brief introduction and information about Latin phonetics, grammatical categories of the basic parts of the language, rules for declension of nouns and adjectives of the I-II declension; features of the conjugation of regular verbs and the verb esse in the tenses of the inflect system; involves the development of reading and translation skills, skills of working with a dictionary. The second is devoted to the grammar of nouns of III-V declensions, adjectives of III declension, information about numerals, degree of comparison of adjectives, system of perfect tenses; aimed at acquiring the skills of translating texts, analyzing the syntax of cases.
