Learning outcomes
ΡLO14. To use the New Greek and English languages in oral and written form, in different genre-style varieties and registers of communication (formal, informal, neutral), to solve communicative problems in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres of life. PLO17. To collect, analyze, systematize and interpret the facts of language and speech and use them to solve complex problems in specialized areas of professional activity and/or study. PLO18. To have the skills to manage complex actions or projects in solving complex problems in professional activities in the field of the chosen philological specialization and to be responsible for making decisions in unpredictable conditions. PLO 20.2. To carry out intercultural communication in oral and written form. PLO 22.2. Translate specialized texts from and into New Greek and English.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful mastery of the required disciplines of the program; 2) knowledge of the structure of philological science and its theoretical foundations; the main problems of philology and approaches to their solution using appropriate philological methods; 3) proficiency in the New Greek language at the level of B2 competence; experience in writing and defending a term paper.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to write and defend a bachelor's thesis to verify that the graduate's level of training meets the requirements of the educational and qualification characteristics of the specialty, and that he or she is able to apply scientific analysis to solve professional problems of an applied nature. The course consists of two parts. The first, the research part, consists of students choosing a topic, discussing the subject of research and problem statement, drawing up a research plan, searching for and processing scientific literature and material that examines certain hypotheses in order to refute or confirm them. The main part of the course is writing a scientific text, when students have to demonstrate their command of the scientific style of the Ukrainian language and the ability to prove their own theses based on the principles of academic integrity. The second and final part tests students' readiness to participate in public scientific events and their ability to present the results of their work.

Assessment methods and criteria
The grade for writing a bachelor's thesis consists of three components: 1) the supervisor's assessment, who fills out the supervisor's feedback form in accordance with the evaluation criteria (up to 10 points max.) 2) the reviewer's assessment, who fills out the review form in accordance with the evaluation criteria (up to 45 points max. )3) the grade for the defense of the qualification work (up to 45 points max.), which is given by the certification commission and entered into the final evaluation sheet, which also contains the total grade as an arithmetic whole of the three components (100 points max.; 60 points min.).
