Prerequisites and co-requisites
As a result of the study of the previous educational disciplines, the student should have elementary ideas about the general properties and regularities of the nature that surrounds a person. As a result of studying the academic discipline, the student must: Know: 1.1. the main stages of the development of science and the corresponding historical scientific pictures of the world; 1.2. the main directions of the modern scientific revolution; 1.3. worldview consequences of modern physical, cosmological, biological concepts. Be able: 2.1. distinguish between scientific, non-scientific and non-scientific images of the world; 2.2. use modern scientific and philosophical terminology for the general description of the natural world; 2.3. to use general theoretical and methodological principles in scientific activity.
Course content
The discipline Scientific image of the world consists of one content part. The educational discipline is designed to acquaint students of the humanities faculties of the University with the history of the emergence and development of science in society, the achievements of its individual branches. This discipline should contribute to the formation in students of a modern scientific outlook, without which it is difficult to imagine the civilization of the 21st century.

Assessment methods and criteria
The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student in the process of assimilation of material from all topics of the content module. During the semester, the students work is evaluated. The final passing grade is the sum of the grades for RN(D) (maximum 84 points) and the grade for the modular test (maximum 16 points) and is a maximum of 100 points.
