To know and understand the system of language, general properties of literature as an art of speech, history of Belarusian, Ukrainian languages and Belarusian, Ukrainian, Czech / Polish literatures. Successful mastering of the courses: Introduction to Literary Studies, Introduction to Slavic Philology, Folklore of Western and Eastern Slavs, Linguistics of Belarus, History of Belarusian Literature from the Beginning to the End of the 16th Century, History of Belarusian Literature of the 17th - 18th Centuries. 1. Know: features of the literary process in Belarus in the XI-XVIII centuries, the leading genres and styles of this era; creative biographies of the most prominent cultural figures, the history of creation and features of the poetics of iconic works of art. 2. Be able to: connect theoretical knowledge with specific phenomena of fiction and general historical and literary facts; to assess the phenomena of Belarusian and world literature in their inseparable unity. 3. Have: the principles of search, collection, accumulation and processing of information, skills of reading and listening to Belarusian-language texts, a critical attitude to the analyzed phenomena and other.

to give students systematized information about the development of Belarusian literature of the first half. XIX century; to acquaint with the most important achievements of literature in the context of national spiritual history and culture; to promote the development of skills of analysis of historical and literary material in the projection of the current cultural situation in Belarus in order to form the necessary professional competencies of a Belarusian philologist. The discipline is Part 3 of the Complex discipline "History of Belarusian Literature". Attention is focused on the evolution of artistic methods, directions, schools and genres; students systematically assimilate information about the most important figures of literature and culture of the period, get acquainted with the iconic works of Belarusian literature of the era of Sentimentalism and Romanticism. The course consists of 2 content modules and provides 1 module test.

Lectures and seminars, management of independent work and control over its implementation, individual consultations, credit.

After lectures on relevant topics, seminars are held, which are evaluated according to the planned types of work and forms of control: oral report / analysis of the work of art (max. 5), abstract / essay (max. 10), modular test. ), additions, participation in the discussion (max. 4), presentation (max. 6). During the semester written works are checked, individual consultations are held, the level of assimilation of the material submitted for independent processing is estimated. The test is set based on the results of the student's work during the semester and does not provide for additional assessment activities. Students who score 60 points (minimum positive number of points) receive a "credit".
