Learning outcomes
PRN 2. Effectively work with Slavic information: select the necessary information from various sources, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize information on Belarusian and Ukrainian studies. PRN 8. To know and understand the system of language, general properties of literature as art of speech, history of Belarusian, Ukrainian languages ​​and Belarusian, Ukrainian, Czech / Polish literatures, to be able to apply this knowledge in professional activity, in the field of Slavic studies. PRN 9. To characterize dialectal and social varieties of Belarusian, Ukrainian, English, Czech / Polish languages, to describe the sociolinguistic situation. PRN 10. Know the norms of literary Belarusian, Ukrainian, English, Czech / Polish languages ​​and be able to apply them in practice.

1. Know the basic linguistic concepts of language as a system. 2. Be able to work analytically with scientific literature, analyze texts. 3. Have basic skills in modeling oral and written texts.
Course content
The purpose of the course is to acquaint students with a set of basic theoretical issues regarding the formation, development and functioning of all styles of Ukrainian literary language in modern conditions of society and language, as well as to form skills and abilities to apply theoretical knowledge in practice. During the study the work is aimed at forming knowledge about the stylistic system of the modern Ukrainian literary language. To consider in detail the stylistic resource of language tools of all levels, genre specifics of functional styles, criteria and principles of work with multi-genre texts and relevant scientific literature with an emphasis on independent production of texts in accordance with communicative needs.

Assessment methods and criteria
During the semester, assessment is carried out according to the types of work and the form of control described in paragraph 7.1: scientific report (max. 5), text analysis (max. 10), independent writing (max. 10), control work in the form of tests with different types of questions and tasks (max. 25), Final test in the form of tests with different types of questions and tasks (max. 25). The test is set based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not provide for additional assessment activities. Students who scored a minimum positive number of points - 60, receive - "credited". Students who do not score the minimum positive number of points - 60, receive - "not credited". Students who scored a total of less than 60 points per semester, to make a test must write material on the topics on which the debt arose, in the form of writing scientific papers, creative work or, if necessary, write a test.
