1. Know the grammatical, phonetic and lexical structure of the Turkish language. 2. Know the main historical stages of the region's development. 3. Be able to work with open sources of information in philological sciences.
Course content
The discipline "History of the Turkish Language" is an integral part of the complex discipline "General Theoretical Course of the Turkish Language", the purpose of which is to systematically present the main facts of the history of the language, as well as the general patterns of its development. Studying this course deepens the general linguistic training of future philologists, promotes students' understanding of the structure and system of the Turkish language, the main results of the process of language formation in the diachronic aspect, shows the causes and ways of formation of language-specific features that are inherent in its current state. The course includes 2 content modules and 2 module tests. The course ends with an exam.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training, which accounts for 50% of the total grade. Assessment of semester work: 1. Control work: 9 - 15 points. 2. Presentation: 6 - 10 points. 3. Oral questioning: 9 - 15 points. 4. Final control work: 12 - 20 points.
