Learning outcomes
PLO 8. To know and understand the language system, the general properties of literature as an art of words, the history of Turkish and English languages and literatures and be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities.
PLO 13. Analyze and interpret works of Ukrainian and foreign fiction and oral folklore, determine their specificity and place in the literary process (according to the chosen specialization).
PLO 15. Carry out linguistic, literary and special philological analysis of texts of different styles and genres.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful completion of professional courses of the Integrated Discipline "History of Turkish Literature", in particular: "Folklore and Ancient Turkish Literature", "Literature of the Divan", "Folk Literature", "Literature of Tanzimat";
2) mastery of oral and written Turkish language skills that satisfy communication needs at the basic level;
3) successful mastery of basic theoretical and literary concepts.
Course content
The course "Literary Movements of Serveti Funun and Fecri Ati" introduces students to the basic and conceptual foundations of the Turkic literary process of the late XIX - early XX centuries and the peculiarities of analyzing the works of art by Turkish writers of the literary movements of Serveti Funun and Fecri Ati. The content of the proposed course includes a brief summary of the history of the literary process in the territory of modern Turkey during the Zulum period, familiarization with the specific features of literary development in the late XIX - early XX centuries.
This course is a part of the comprehensive discipline "History of Turkish Literature", so it helps to form a holistic view of the development of Turkish literature. The discipline is taught in a set of lectures (12 hours) and seminars (12 hours) and on the basis of independent study (36 hours) of methodological materials, and the course ends with a test.
