PLO8. To know and understand the language system, the general properties of literature as an art of words, the history of Turkish and English languages and literatures and be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities.
PLO13. Analyze and interpret works of Ukrainian and foreign fiction and oral folklore, determine their specificity and place in the literary process (according to specialization).

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know:
1) the main provisions, categories of the scientific apparatus of the general theory of literature;
2) periods of Turkish literature.
Be able to:
1) apply the acquired knowledge in practice;
2) have elementary skills
3) literary analysis.
Course content
This course is an integral part of the theoretical course of Turkish literature, the purpose of which is to systematically present the main facts of the history of literature of the Tanzimat period, as well as the general patterns of its development. The study of this course deepens the general literary training of future philologists, promotes students' understanding of the structure and system of Turkish literature, the main literary processes of the Tanzimat era, shows the causes and ways of formation of specific literary trends and processes that are inherent in its current state, deepens knowledge about native speakers of the Turkish language, as well as the special socio-cultural factors that influenced the formation of Turkish literature.
The academic discipline "Literature of Tanzimat" is the professional basis for the comprehensive training of the field of knowledge 0203 "Humanities", specialization 6.020303 "Philology", specialization "Turkish language, literature and translation, English".
Classes are held in the form of lectures and practical classes. The course ends in the fifth semester with an exam.

Evaluation of semester work:
1. Work in seminar classes (oral response, work with text corpora, written work): 10 - 20 points.
2. Creative and research tasks: 10 - 20 points.
3. Module test №1: 8 - 10 points.
4. Module test № 2: 8 - 10 points.
5. Exam: 24 - 40 points.
