Learning outcomes
PLO 2. Work effectively with information: select the necessary information from various sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. PLO 5. To cooperate with colleagues, representatives of other cultures and religions, supporters of different political views, etc. PLO 6. Use information and communication technologies to solve complex specialized problems and problems of professional activity. PLO 8. To know and understand the language system, general properties of literature as an art of words, the history of Turkish and English languages and literatures and be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities. PLO 14. To use Turkish and English, in oral and written form, in different genre-style varieties and registers of communication (formal, informal, neutral), to solve communicative problems in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres of life.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Have basic skills in using translation transformations. 2. Understand the algorithm of translation, know the main difficulties of translation between languages of different language groups. 3. Apply the acquired skills in translation in practice within the student's language competence.
Course content
The aim of the discipline is to develop skills and abilities of written translation, consecutive oral translation in various communicative situations; to acquaint students with the basic models and patterns of the translation process in practice; to ensure deep mastery of the types and types of translation and their use for adequate reproduction of the meanings of communicative units in the target language; to teach students to distinguish genre and stylistic features of different types of text; to teach students to distinguish and use different types of transformations used in translation.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge), which accounts for 40% of the total grade, and assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills); (communication); (autonomy and responsibility), which accounts for 60% of the total grade. Assessment of semester work: 1. Answer at a practical lesson: 5 - 15 points. 2. Intermediate control (written work): 15 - 25 points. 3. Module test №1: 10 - 20 points. 4. Module test №2: 10 - 20 points. 5. Credit: 12 - 20 points.
