PLO 8. To know and understand the language system, the general properties of literature as an art of words, the history of Turkish and English languages and literatures and be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities. PLO 13. Analyze and interpret works of Ukrainian and foreign fiction and oral folklore, determine their specificity and place in the literary process (according to the chosen specialization). PLO 15. Carry out linguistic, literary and special philological analysis of texts of different styles and genres. PLO 16. To know and understand the basic concepts, theories and concepts of the chosen philological specialization, to be able to apply them in professional activities.

Full-time form

1) successful mastery of professional disciplines during the first year of study; 2) mastery of basic skills in oral and written Turkish; 3) comprehension of basic theoretical and literary concepts.

The course is theoretical and practical in nature and contributes to the practical formation of future specialists in the field of Turkic philology, which is necessary for their future professional activities. The content of the proposed course includes a brief summary of the history of literary studies, familiarization with the specific features of one of the art forms - the verbal one - and the necessary components of literary analysis. This course is a part of the Integrated Discipline "Literary Studies and Foreign Literature", so it helps to form a holistic view of the origin of Turkic literature, introduces the first written sources; with the varieties of oral folk art and fiction. The mastery of one of the general theoretical basic disciplines of philological education takes place in a complex of lectures (16 hours) and seminars (14 hours) and on the basis of independent study (30 hours) of methodological materials, and the discipline ends with an exam.

Lectures, seminars, individual work.

Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes, which accounts for 35% of the total grade, and the assessment of practical training, which accounts for 65% of the total grade. Assessment of semester work: 1. Answer at the seminar: 4 - 20 points. 2. Presentation: 4 - 10 points. 3. Module test №1: 6 - 15 points. 4. Module test № 2: 6 - 15 points. 5. Exam: 24 - 36 points.
