Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Prior to studying this course, students should know the peculiarities of the functioning and development of modern society, politics and government, human interaction with social and political institutions, and the special characteristics of modern Ukrainian society. 2. be able to collect and interpret information on political processes; apply basic terms, categories of analysis of socio-political phenomena and processes. 3. Possess basic skills of scientific research and information management; use of informative sources.
Course content
The discipline "Social and Political Studies" is part of the cycle of compulsory academic disciplines. The subject of study of the discipline is the functioning and development of modern society, politics and government, human interaction with social and political institutions, special characteristics of modern Ukrainian society in a comparative context.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, an assessment of theoretical training, which accounts for 40% of the total grade, and an assessment of practical training, which accounts for 60% of the total grade. Assessment of semester work: Part I: 1. Oral answer: 24 - 40 points. 2. Final control work (test): 6 - 10 points. Part II: 1. Oral answer: 18 - 30 points. 2. Independent individual work: 6 - 10 points. 3. Final control work: 6 - 10 points.
