PLO 8. To know and understand the language system, the general properties of literature as an art of words, the history of the Crimean Tatar language and literature, and be able to apply this knowledge in professional knowledge in professional activities. PLO 10. To know the norms of the literary language and be able to apply them in practice. PLO 13. Prerequisites and co-requisites
Prerequisites for taking or studying the course "History of Ancient Literature" the student should know: - general information about the historical and cultural context of antiquity; - defining features of the ancient worldview and its artistic embodiment in artistic works; - formed in the school course in the subjects "Foreign Literature" and "World History".
Course content
The discipline "Ancient Literature" (Part 1 "Comprehensive Discipline of Foreign Literature") is a component of the comprehensive discipline "Foreign Literature", which is a compulsory discipline of the block of general disciplines of the specialty "Philology". The subject of the discipline includes the laws of development and artistic features of the literature of Ancient Greece and Rome. The course forms an understanding of the historical and cultural context of Antiquity and the main patterns of development of of literature; outlines the process of genesis and formation of literary genera and their genre varieties; promotes mastery of basic theoretical cultural and literary concepts necessary for understanding and analyzing works of ancient literature.

Evaluation of semester work: 1. Answer at the seminar: 21 - 35 points. 2. Group project (Mythological dictionary of catchphrases and concepts): 9 - 15 points. 3. Individual project (creative work): 12 - 20 points. 4. Intermediate control (Google test): 6 - 10 points. 5. Final control work: 12 - 20 points.
