PLO2. Work effectively with information: select the necessary information from various sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. PLO4. Understand the fundamental principles of human existence, nature, society. PLO13. Analyze and interpret works of Ukrainian and foreign fiction and oral folklore, determine their specificity and place in the literary process.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
developing students' knowledge of the trends of the literary process in the Middle East, the specifics of its genres and styles, prominent works, writers of the region, as well as the connection of the literary tradition of the region with Crimean Tatar literature.
Course content
To acquaint Turkologists with the literature of the Near and Middle East and demonstrate the connection with the Crimean Tatar literary tradition. Based on the analysis of literary monuments, students will be able to familiarize themselves with and analyze the heritage of the literature of the Ancient East at the levels of genres, plots, images and artistic means.

Seminar class response, open-ended quiz, oral response, listening, presentation, tests, written work
Assessment methods and criteria
Evaluation of semester work: 1. Performing tasks in practical classes: oral response, listening, presentation: 25 - 40 points. 2. Written work (intermediate control): 25 - 40 points. 3. Final test: 10 - 20 points. The test consists of two tasks: 1) a written answer to a theoretical question; 2) a creative task of interpreting a fragment of a literary work.
