Learning outcomes
Know the basic terminology of the discipline; prerequisites for the formation of stylistic science. Know the field of linguistic stylistics. Know the meaning of the concepts "pictorial and expressive means of language", "connotation", "language figures", "functional style", "expressive style". Know the classification of language figures. Be able to use appropriate terminology, demonstrate the mastery of the necessary theoretical basis of the discipline. Be able to apply the basics of stylistic analysis. Have the skills to conduct discussions when discussing topics in Japanese stylistics. Act socially responsibly and consciously, have the skills to work autonomously and in a team

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful mastering of disciplines (after two years of study) "Japanese language", "Introduction to Oriental Philology", "Lexicology", etc .;
2) knowledge of the theoretical foundations of philological science (linguistics and literary studies);
3) mastery of skills of analysis of Japanese-language material.
Course content
Theoretical material on the principles and methods of stylistic science and features of each section of linguistic stylistics (phonetic, graphic, lexical, syntactic, functional) on the material of the Japanese language is given. The following main issues are considered: 1) stylistics as a science, the concept of figures of language, sections of stylistic science; 2) problems of Japanese graphostylistics (translation aspect); 3) stylistic semasiology in Japanese; 4) stylistics of language levels and functional stylistics of the Japanese language in the translation aspect.
