Learning outcomes
PLO 1. Communicate freely on professional issues with experts and non- experts in Ukrainian and Swedish, English and third Germanic language, in oral and in written form, use these languages to organize effective cross-cultural communication. PLO 5. Collaborate with colleagues, representatives of other cultures and religions, supporters of different political views, etc. PLO 11. Know the principles, technologies and techniques of oral and written texts of different genres and styles creation in Ukrainian, Swedish English and third Germanic language. PLO 14. Use Swedish, English and third Germanic language in oral and written form, in different genre-stylistic varieties and registers of communication (official, unofficial, neutral), to solve communicative tasks in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres of life.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The course "Business Swedish" presupposes prior proficiency in the Swedish language at a level not lower than B1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. It also assumes a prior basic knowledge of socio-cultural aspects gained during the study of the course "Country studies of Sweden".
Course content
The course "Business Swedish" includes practical sessions in which students familiarize themselves with the official and business style of the Swedish language, including its lexical, grammatical, and stylistic features. The compositional and linguistic characteristics of main types of business documents, such as business letters and contracts, are examined. Students practice formulating oral and written texts in the official business style, employing argumentation techniques in business communication. Through role-playing games, students develop skills in conducting business negotiations and intercultural mediation in the Swedish-Ukrainian business environment.

Current assessment: test, interviewing, final test. Final assessment is an exam. Assessment criteria for each form of control are given in the course program.
