Learning outcomes
PLO 2. Process information effectively: collect relevant information from a variety of sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. PLO 8. Know and understand the system of language, the general properties of literature as the art of word, the history of Swedish literature, be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities. PLO 11. Know the principles, technologies and techniques of oral and written texts of different genres and styles creation in Ukrainian, Swedish English and third Germanic language. PLO 13. Analyze and interpret works of Ukrainian and foreign fiction and oral folk art, determine their specificity and place in the literary process (according to the chosen specialization). PLO 15. Perform linguistic, literary and translation analysis of texts of different styles and genres.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The course "Ukrainian literature of the 21st century" provides basic knowledge of the history of Ukrainian literature learned within the school curriculum.
Course content
The course consolidates and deepens basic knowledge of the history of Ukrainian literature, in particular, the patterns of development of the historical-literary process in relationships with world literature and culture. Continues the systematic study of: bright modern literary phenomena in a variety of styles and genres, innovative shifts in the cultural and stylistic epoch of the border of the XX-XXI centuries, marked by search and experimentation; peculiarities of the poetics of modern lyrics, drama, short stories, novels, the specifics of their genre-species and generic-species diffusions, plot creation, character creation, visual and expressive means; traces the dynamics of content and style factors in the works of Yuriy Andruhovych, Oksana Zabuzhko, Halyna Pagutyak, Serhiy Zhadan, Yuriy Vinnychuk, and others.
