2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of the Linguistic Studies of China course.
Course content
The purpose of the academic discipline is to acquaint Chinese students with the geographical, ethnic and cultural zoning of the territory of China, with the characteristic features of the everyday culture of the peoples of the modern PRC, primarily ethnic Chinese, as well as with some of the most important aspects of social and spiritual life that form a specific ethnic appearance of this people. Linguistic geography of China is one of the most important courses in the country studies training of a Sinology student. It continues the acquaintance of students with the geography, history, culture and ethnography of the country. Special attention is paid to such an aspect as recreational geography. The subject of study of the linguistic geography course is language realities that are related to geographical concepts, features of national culture, traditions and customs of the people who speak the language. The study discipline "Linguogeography of China: cultural aspect" is one of the components of comprehensive training in the specialty "Philology (Oriental languages and literatures (including translation))" under the program "Chinese language and literature and translation, English language", selective block "Chinese Studies: linguistic and cultural studies and translation". Two content modules are defined within the discipline. Teaching and assessment languages: Ukrainian, Chinese.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course provides the following forms of training organization: lecture and seminar classes conducted using interactive teaching methods, and independent work. The main types of work and, accordingly, the objects of semester control are: the answer to the seminary lesson, design work. Detailed planned educational events and teaching methods are presented in the working program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, in particular, theoretical training, which makes up 40% of the total grade, and practical training, which makes up 60% of the total grade. The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student for classroom work and for independent work; in the end: in the maximum dimension 60 points, in the minimum dimension 36 points. The discipline ends with an exam. Evaluation criteria are presented in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
