Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the courses "Chinese Language", "Introduction to Chinese Philology", "Linguistics of China", "Lexicology of the Chinese Language", "Fundamentals of Chinese Translation Theory", "Fundamentals of Translation Practice", "Chinese Translation Practice", etc.; 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of philological science (linguistics and literary studies) and cultural studies to the extent necessary for identifying and overcoming translation difficulties; 3. Possession of basic translation practice skills.
Course content
When mastering the specified discipline, the approbation of translation methodology relevant to the involved material and algorithms for solving applied-level tasks in the process of direct translation are offered. In addition, the specified academic discipline provides basic knowledge about the theoretical and practical principles of creating a high-quality translation product, the relationship between extralinguistic and linguistic information in the text and their consideration during translation, methods of applying all types of lexical-grammatical transformations, loss and compensation of content during translation. The academic discipline "Translation of Chinese-language economic and commercial texts is one of the components of comprehensive training in the specialty "Philology (Oriental languages and literatures (including translation))" under the program "Chinese language and literature and translation, English language", selective block "Chinese studies: philology and translation". Two content modules are defined within the discipline: Module 1. Economy and Module 2. International market. Teaching and assessment languages: Ukrainian, Chinese.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course provides for the following forms of organization of training: practical classes conducted using interactive teaching methods, and independent work. The main types of work and, accordingly, the objects of semester control are: the answer to practical lessons, project work (report), modular control work. Detailed planned educational events and teaching methods are presented in the working program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the mastered material, including theoretical training, which is 40% of the total assessment, and practical training, which is 60% of the total assessment. The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student for classroom activities and for individual work. Criteria for semester assessment are presented in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
