Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the courses: "Chinese language: intermediate level" (in particular, proper mastery of the lexical and grammatical material studied in the second year and mastering the basic skills of language and speech competence). 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of general linguistics, phonetics of the modern Chinese language; 3. Possession of a lexical base that meets the requirements of the "Chinese Language: Intermediate Level" course; 4. The ability to conduct a conversation in Chinese, which meets the requirements of the "Chinese Language: Intermediate Level" course.
Course content
Within the scope of the discipline, a multi-aspect study of the educational material taken for processing is provided, which is as balanced as possible not only in the lexical-grammatical, but also in the stylistic plane. At this stage of mastering the modern Chinese literary language, comprehensive mastery of the proposed material is considered the most expedient. For this purpose, the educational discipline contains the following components: listening; conversational practice; reading (aloud) the main texts with their subsequent lexical and grammatical analysis and reading additional material with subsequent retelling; mastering hieroglyphic signs (about 2000) that are related to the material under consideration; writing works on the proposed topic, as well as consideration of the peculiarities of translation of various types of texts (journalistic, scientific and technical, artistic), etc. The study discipline "Chinese Language: Advanced Level" is one of the components of the comprehensive discipline "Practical Chinese Language and Language History", which consists of four parts: Part 1. Chinese Language: Basic Level (25 credits), Part 2. Chinese Language : Intermediate (21 credits), Part 3. Chinese: Advanced (11 credits), Part 4. Chinese: Functional (4 credits). Within the third part, 4 thematic modules are defined. Teaching and assessment languages: Ukrainian, Chinese.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Training activities during the semester: practical classes conducted with the use of interactive teaching methods, and individual work. The main types of activities and, accordingly, the objects of semester control are: writing lexical dictations, writing works, listening, speaking (oral topic), answering a practical lesson, test work with open answers. Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the mastered material, including theoretical training, which is 40% of the total assessment, and practical training, which is 60% of the total assessment. The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student for classroom activities and for individual work. The minimum score for the semester is 36 points, while the maximum score equals 60. Final assessment: exam. The exam is conducted in the form of written work with open answers to two practical tasks (each of which is evaluated by max. 15 points) and oral answer on a conversational topic (max. 10 points).
