Learning outcomes
PLO 1. Evaluate one's own educational and scientific and professional activities, build and implement an effective strategy of self-development and professional self-improvement. PLO 3. Apply modern methods and technologies, in particular information technologies, for successful and effective implementation of professional activities and ensuring the quality of research in a specific philological field. Carry out a scientific analysis of language, speech and literary material, interpret and structure it taking into account appropriate methodological principles, formulate generalizations based on independently processed data. General theoretical training obtained within the framework of bachelor's educational programs.
Course content
The purpose of the subject is to provide students with knowledge and skills that create the necessary organizational and legal basis for carrying out professional research work, its presentation to the scientific community, protection and commercialization of intellectual property rights to its results. The discipline consists of three content modules. The module "Methodology of Scientific Research" forms an understanding of science as research, introduces the specifically scientific, general scientific and philosophical levels of methodology. The module "Theoretical Foundations of Philological Research" forms students' knowledge of major linguistic and/or literary trends and their development in domestic and foreign fields, an idea of the variety of methodological approaches in philology at the current stage. The module "Fundamentals of Intellectual Property" reveals the role of intellectual property as intellectual capital in the socio-economic development of society and its place in humanities.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
• tasks performed in the process of independent work; • intermediate control – oral answer, additions, participation in discussions at lectures and seminars, blitz surveys, tests; • projects, presentations.
Assessment methods and criteria
The course includes three content modules (the first module is evaluated min. 24/max. 40 points, the second module 18/30 points, the third module 18/30 points). At the end of the first and third modules, modular control tests (2 in total) are conducted with theoretical and practical tasks for knowledge of the methodological basis of scientific research (MCT 1) and knowledge of civil legislation in the field of intellectual property (MCT 3). Conducting MCT 1 and MCT 2 is possible in the form of tests. In the final assessment, theoretical training (PH 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4) and practical training (PH 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, 3.1, 4.1) are evaluated. The final number of points for the subject (maximum 100 points) is defined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account modular control tests. The credit is given based on the results of the student's work throughout the entire semester and does not include additional assessment measures.
