Apply the acquired knowledge and understanding to solve new qualitative and quantitative problems of chemistry. Know the methodology and organization of scientific research. Plan, organize and carry out experimental research in chemistry using modern equipment, competently process their results and draw sound conclusions. to allocate time, to organize the work and work of collective, to make the report. Assess risks in professional activities and take preventive action.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know the basic principles of drug analysis. Know the legislation of Ukraine in the field of drug analysis. Know the basics of chemical methods of analysis: gravimetry and titrimetry.
Know the basic methods of sample preparation and determination in the analysis of drugs.
Course content
Peculiarities of chemical and toxicological analysis of narcotic substances. Requirements for chemical and toxicological analysis of narcotic substances. Physico-chemical properties and pharmacokinetics of narcotic substances. Choice of method of analysis of narcotic substances. Comparative characteristics of gravimetric, titrimetric, spectroscopic, chromatographic and electrochemical methods in the analysis of narcotic substances.

Assessment methods and criteria
The evaluation is based on a 100-point system. The maximum / minimum number of points that can be obtained by a student during the semester assessment is 60 points / 36 points. The final assessment is conducted in the form of an exam. The maximum / minimum number of points that can be obtained by a student on the exam is 40 points / 24 points.
